Just who are are the people bringing you World Tomination? Read a litte bit about Saffron & Cyn and how World Tomination came about. It's interesting. No, really. Well, if nothing else, you can see some pictures of us.

Saffron lives in the less glamorous part of Southern California. She likes cake, reading biographies, black and white movies, California sunsets and London sunrises. She loves music, art, reading, writing, laughing, and traveling. She used to be a student, but now is just floating in that nebulous sea of anxiety and apathy that all 20 something people go through - it's annoying and she'd like to get off the boat now, thank you very much. She discovered Tom McRae's music in March 2002 and hasn't stopped acquiring people into the cult looked back since. A lot of the bad punning and commentary on the site is all her fault.

In her spare time, she applies for jobs, goes to the library, and plots ways to return to Great Britain, specifically, Scotland. Saffron is not much of a drinker either, so on the rare occasions she's allowed outside, pop for an Italian soda if you would? WKD is also acceptable. When she grows up, she would like to be either a bass player, an owner of an Italian stationery store, or a cook in a tiny restaurant of one.

Cyn is more commonly found on the internet under the alias Amezri. She'd actually heard Tom McRae's song "Sao Paulo Rain" on an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but the episode was so blah, she'd mostly blocked it out and didn't even realize she had an mp3 of the song on her hard drive. Genius.

Sometime in 2003, Cyn was reintroduced to Tom McRae by Saffron, who'd been going on and on about this talented British singer/songwriter. She was blessed with a mixed CD and found she really loved the music. The only logical choice was to purchase both albums from an overseas merchant and pay exorbitant airmail postage. All very much worth it, of course.

When the subject of World Tomination cropped up, Cyn thought it would be a good idea to have a website. Actually, she thinks everything should have a website, so that's no surprise. Within weeks, hosting was purchased and a site was designed - we were all amused that our group interest had a real internet presence.

Cyn lives in upstate New York where she currently works at a government bid aggregation and e-procurement service provider. The job has little to do with the book-learning she did for four years at a state university - that degree is used in her free time to develop websites and make silly pictures. She likes science fiction, foreign films, sour candies, and puppies. She's easily distracted by shiny electronics and DVDs. If you see her out at a bar, offer soda, not alcohol.
